Songs

I never realized that the songs I listen to now are really close to me. "Temporary Home" reminds me of my grandfather. Songs by country artists have meaning and I love that. Most people don't like country, but I embrace it. I just heard a new song by Julianne Hough, "Is That So Wrong", and I loved it. If I'm feeling alone I listen to it and I know that someone else feels the same way as I do. It's good to be reminded that you're not alone and that other people feel all the same emotions that you do.

I can't go a single day without music. Today, I wanted to cry. I don't exactly remember why, but I did. I played "Wheel of the World" by Carrie Underwood and I felt better. Somehow music helps all of us and I love that. The songs we listen to reflect who we are and how we feel. I can honestly say that music is a major art of my life and you can tell how I feel and who I am by looking at my music.

I know that people want to put up walls so they don't seem vunerable, but they really are. We need to realize it's ok if we show how we feel. I know that I'm going to try, how about you????

I Don't Understand

I just don't understand how most popular song now don't seem to have any meaning behind them.  can understand having songs that make you want to dance and sing along, but most songs now are completely random. For example, Ke$ha's song "Dinosaur" has no point to it except to just sing something. I'm not saying this because I don't like her, cause I do, but she doesn't have a purpose to sing about dinosaurs. I just heard a song by Christina Aguilera today that I never heard before. "I'm OK" was a powerful song about her dad and what he did to her mom. That song has a purpose and was wonderful. I'm sure that most songs have a purpose, but not like they use to. I'm Ok by Christina Aguilera If an artist had a very bad breakup they would write a sing about it and make it fun. I just can't stand  having songs that are about nothing.

Family

Most teens and kids can't stand their grandparents and wouldn't see them unless they're forced. I'm always pressuring my parents to take me to visit. I love them and I don't understand why teens don't want to visit them. We should be happy that we have them cause they can give us advice and tell amazing stories about war and stuff. It's one thing to read it in a book, but they lived through wars, depressions, and most likely Hitler. We should be appreciative about them and all they do for us. Let's just face it, they spoil us a lot and they would do anything for us. It's time we all pick up the phone and call them or talk to them and let them know we LOVE them a lot.
